Pretty dresses are my thing—always have been and likely will always be. I credit my find of this particular dress to Daphne Oz, who had me co-signing multiple looks of hers like “Okay girl” on Master Chef Junior. And I believe it was one of the season finales when she walked out in a ruched leopard printed dress (which I think was L’Agence) that she undoubtedly influenced me to go on a hunt for the same. But instead of twinning with Daphne, I opted for this green leopard-printed Michael Costello beauty via Revolve.
Michael, you did your thing with this dress! I love a dress that makes me feel beautiful. The ruching is not too much. The slight puff of the sleeve at the shoulder is perfect. I love the boned bodice because outside of unhooking the straps from my bra to go strapless, I didn’t need any crazy uncomfortable undergarments to make the dress work.
You know how whoever said, “Buy the outfit, the occasion will find you.” They were right because I bought this dress for no particular reason three weeks ago, but then last week, Brian said, “I’m taking you out for our Anniversary; dress up!” And I thought, I already have the perfect dress!
I paired it with my trusty snake-printed Sam Edelman heels (because I love a good animal print mix and am now in my forties and love a comfortable heel) and my go-to black pony hair Brandon Blackwood purse and I was like, “Okay girl!”
P.S. What brand is your favorite for a pretty dress?
