Since November (2022), I’ve been on a new nail journey with structured gel manicures, and it’s been fabulous. It’s a whole new world of meticulous cuticle grooming and builder gels! It’s the way the apex of the nail is stronger and beautifully arched for me. Please give me all flats forever with my chicken wings, but I never want flat nails again. I had no idea that my natural nails had so much potential!
I inconsequentially chipped a sliver of my right thumbnail a little over a month ago, but I’ve not broken broken a nail in five months! Instead, my nails have been flourishing. I had to get them trimmed down at my appointment this past Friday.
Nail care has staked a claim in my happy place. I will be forty years old in four months, and I only started using cuticle oil four months ago, but nail life pre-Akilah is blissfully a distant memory.
