When I was a little girl, I used to take frequent trips to my neighborhood library, the Jesse Chase Branch of the Detroit Public library. It was nothing spectacular but it was special enough. I recently made a trip back to my old neighborhood and saw that the Chase branch was still open! Since everything is so “digital” now, I kind of assumed libraries were a thing of the past, until I incidentally came across a picture of The Bibliothèque nationale de France. Looking at pictures of this library made me feel like Belle in that Beauty and the Beast scene. Of course this made me dig deeper to search out more of these beautiful treasures. I didn’t know such breathtaking libraries existed. Sorry if I am late to the party on this one, but I just had to share some of my favorites.
The beautiful George Peabody library in Maryland is even available for weddings, private dinners and parties. Who knew? Check out their website… Gorg!

I mean really, doesn’t this make you want to pick up a book?
