Us born and bred church girls been knew the denim maxi skirt as a staple. How many times have we worn it to the mass choir concert when the dress uniform was denim bottoms and skittle-colored tops? Or how many times have we seen it at bible study or choir rehearsal in the summer? Or how many times have we spotted it sashaying around at the church picnic (with sneakers) or any casual church event? Over the past several months, I’ve enjoyed watching it trending in all its glory (approved and spotlighted in the pillar style publications and all the spins and improvements on design from high-end designer labels—or no improvement on design, just a heftier price tag, capitalizing on a divine church essential). For us church girls though, it’s no trend or “movement”— it has always been standard wardrobe. And we love all of the new options available to us now!
