So, this past weekend, I went in to see Akilah and walked out with the prettiest manicure. Thanks to Akilah, I’m officially one of the nail girlies, a natural nail girly. A fresh Russian manicure with hard gel polish is my thing now (but if you follow me, you already know this). I will admit that I’m pretty boring, though. I mostly stick to nudes, and of course, I’ll get a classic red polish during the most magical time of the year. But I love Akilah so much because she stays on top of all the nail trends, and even the minimalist nail girlies (like myself) can do the most while doing the least—remember my velvet Christmas nails last year?
So when Akilah posted a reel doing Korean glass nails, I thought, ooh, la, la—I want. I was unaware (until now) that the glass manicure was a viral trend this summer. Of course it was; remember, that’s why Akilah is the best; she is on top of all of that even when I am not. I know summer is wrapping things up and has one foot out of the door. But she is technically still here, so I’m still running with the glass nail trend. I can’t stop looking at my nails! But of course I can’t stop looking at them; Akilah nailed them!
