Have a lovely week…

Happy Christmas eve! So here we are, down to our final seven days of the year! This is my last ‘have a lovely week post’ of 2018.

The weekend scurried by in its usual manner, but I didn’t feel so frustrated about my lose grasp on time because I knew I had an extended weekend and so I had a little more of it than usual to meddle in.

I tried to get started early today mostly to beat the holiday mayhem at the grocery store. I think I satisfactorily succeeded. I had my “list” in hand. I’m still praying I don’t have any ‘oh shoot, I forgot the….’ moments over the next few days.

The end of the year always makes me somewhat emotional. I always feel overwhelming gratefulness to God for His love, blessings, and protection. I also feel a surge of determination to try to make the next year better than the one prior. I’ve never made a new year’s resolution, I usually just visualize what I want my life to look and feel like and then I jot down some sort of tentative plan to get me going there.

One thing I’ve been thinking about a lot is my blog and what I want that to look like in 2019. It is so fulfilling to see ideas materialize beyond your expectations. With that, I just want to take this time to give a very sincere thank you to those who have been reading, following along, liking, sharing, commenting, and who have encouraged me to keep going.

I also have a few special thank you’s… Timothy Blanks, my heaven-sent photographer (who I met in our church’s nursery). It has been a pleasure working and growing with you this year. I’ve said it before and hope you know that I, for real, truly appreciate your time and talent.

My big brother (Tatum) who has tagged Oprah in like every post (insert big smile face emoji), thank you for believing in MeMe She on such a scale! Listen, you need these types of genuine souls in your corner folks. If Oprah ever responds, after I finish screaming and carrying on like Sister Mary in @notkarltonbanks IG church, I’m calling you sir! I hope you know that I (for real) truly appreciate your support.

…My two handsome guys… BMitch, for coming along to my shoots so that I don’t miss any time away from Ash, to proofreading my writing so that my sleep deprivation won’t show through, I honestly couldn’t do it without you. Ash, you’re my motivation for everything. You are my world! Even when you are having your meltdowns and turning another strand of my hair grey!

Well, back to cooking and wrapping gifts! My goal this week is simply to have a very merry little Christmas. I wish the very same to all of you!
