Confession: I’ve never been into Valentine’s day! When Brian and I were “courting” he was probably surprised when I told him that I actually loathe those heart shaped red boxes full of mystery chocolate. I’m not sure why but for some reason they just have always been slightly annoying to me. Flowers are different. I love flowers. In fact red roses (go figure) are my absolute favorite, but I still have never felt the obligation of getting them on Valentine’s day was necessary. Pre Ash, Brian and I would make reservations to a nice restaurant to “celebrate.” This year we are going to do a cozy family dinner at home with roasted chicken, potatoes, and asparagus with a little sesame street playing in the background.
Though I’m not into the typical Valentine’s day style, I’m totally into spreading love. So happy Valentine’s day! Thanks so much for reading! Xoxo

You are not alone! Pre Maya we would do something “special” for the day, but because we show each other love every day it’s never been a HUGE day. now that we have Maya, it’s normal a family affair and may sneak off to dinner like we are doing now. 🙂 Enjoy your night! ❤️
