I have a box. In it is my positive pregnancy test, all 8 months of Ethan’s ultrasound pictures, his precious little blue and pink striped hospital baby hat, his hospital receiving blanket, a framed picture of his sweet little hand and foot prints, and a disc of all the beautiful pictures Jessica took with us and our angel. He was quite handsome. It’s a box of specialness that I’ll forever cherish!
Now, I also have a bear. A bear that weighs exactly what Ethan weighed when he was born. His named is embroidered beautifully on the chest and he is sporting a blue bow tie.
I found out about Molly bears through a dear friend who lost her son a few months before I lost Ethan. Molly bears is a non-profit organization that creates weighted teddy bears for families coping with infant loss. My bear was delivered last month, 4 days before Christmas. What a gift! With it came a hand written note from it’s maker. Picking up my bear pulled at my heartstrings. Five pounds of specialness that I’ll forever cherish! Hugs…
