With just a quick glance of my home, my love for black décor is quite clear. It’s an ongoing fancy for me. Our home has always been dolloped with black furniture and accents. Black feels sophisticated, stylish, and unfussy. The other reason I like black, it goes great with white. You can read my painting with a twist post to understand my white wall obsession. There is at least a little bit of black in almost every room of my home. Accent pillows, the decorative fabric tape ladders on my wooden blinds, picture frames, it’s true black love.
A few things I don’t think I have ever considered though is black kitchen cabinetry and black walls. Yes, I said it. Dare I venture out and ever go to the extreme dark side with black paint. I don’t think that’s going to happen any time soon, but when I saw these 35 black room designs on elledecor.com a few days ago, I was quite intrigued. A black kitchen? How beautiful! Now that may be on my list of considerations if we ever do renovations or move again. What do you think?
